Test Support

Test Support refers to the systematic activities carried out to verify, validate, and support the testing of electrical systems, control panels, and equipment to ensure they function safely and as per design specifications. In electrical and panel-related projects, test support begins after manufacturing and assembly, where engineers and technicians assist in conducting various tests such as continuity checks, insulation resistance (IR) tests, high-voltage (Hi-Pot) tests, functional testing, interlock verification, and protection relay testing. Test support also includes preparing test procedures, checklists, and documentation, as well as supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) in coordination with clients and inspectors. During commissioning, test support teams help troubleshoot issues, rectify wiring or logic errors, and ensure smooth integration of panels with field devices, PLCs, motors, and instrumentation.
